About
Lima Utah, via a lot of terminals.
I’m Mateo Osorio Delhonte, a software engineer from Lima, Peru, now living in Utah — where I build client-facing product platforms by day and an ecosystem of my own tools the rest of the time, alongside research-assistant work at Southern Utah University.
The through-line in everything I make is on this site’s first screen: software should be able to show its work. I keep building the same conviction into different shapes — a repository analyzer where every score expands into its evidence, a study system that refuses to claim you’ve mastered something after two answers, a process monitor that explains instead of guessing, a PR dashboard whose most important verdict is UNKNOWN.
That conviction extends to how I use AI. I build with models and I’m genuinely optimistic about them — as long as the system around them retrieves real evidence, keeps deterministic work deterministic, and validates output before it counts. The grounded-AI page is the long version.
Away from a keyboard: cooking ambitiously enough that I eventually shipped a grocery app about it.
This site
Built with Astro, TypeScript, and Tailwind — static HTML, no client framework, no trackers, no analytics. Type is Newsreader, Geist, and Geist Mono, self-hosted. Every project claim links to a public repository, release, or store listing, and the open-source PR state is verified against the GitHub API at build time. The site practices what the portfolio preaches: its source is public.
